Waterford Harvest Festival 2018
It’s been quite the summer in Waterford. Between Spraoi and Waterford Walls, Summer in the City and ArtBeat we have been spoilt for choice in the South East. But the fun isn’t over yet. Waterford Harvest Festival 2018 is a city-wide festival celebrating food and culture. These are a few of our highlights.
Brew Better Coffee
Sat 08 & Sun 09 Sept from 10.30am – 12 noon
Not sure about you but we can’t start the morning before we have our cup of coffee. Lots of practical home brewing tips and insights into the wonderful world of speciality coffees. Find out more here
Ballybricken Fair
Sat 08 & Sun 09 Sept from 1pm – 5pm
Ballybricken Green will be a hive of activity over Harvest Festival time. There will be attractions for all the family over two days. Take a ride with the Four Shire horses, pet animals at the Agri-Aware mobile farm, prepare to be amazed with the Mayfield Birds of Prey, see some astonishing reptiles in all their scaliness, or take a spin on the fairground. Harvest Wellness Area
Saturday 08 & Sun 09 Sept from 1pm – 5pm
Get a bit of balance into your life at the Harvest Wellness Area. Maybe try a relaxing and energising yoga lunchtime session. Or what about a little meditation to reduce stress. You’ll float your way through the rest of the weekend. Find out more here.
Junior HQ
Sat 08 & Sun 09 Sept from 1pm – 5pm
Harvest festival is also a celebration of family life. There are free workshops for the little ones all afternoon at Junior HQ. They will get their hands dirty and you might even get a pasta necklace out of it. Find out more here.
Blaa Eating Competition
Sun 09 Sept at 3pm
One of the most eagerly awaited contests annually in Waterford takes place on Sunday 9th. Have you got what it takes to be World Champion Blaa Eater at Harvest 2018? Get practicing. Find out more here.
