The Barretstown Big Picnic
This Saturday, July 8th, down a quiet road not far from Naas, a very special event is about to take place. Barretstown are organising a fundraiser. We all know Barretstown take fun very seriously. And The Barretstown Big Picnic will be seriously fun!
Fossett’s Circus
The biggest highlight will be Fossett’s Circus, who are performing three live shows throughout the day. Ireland’s oldest travelling show, Fossett’s Circus has been on the road since 1888. Consequently, they know how to entertain… expect amazing acrobatics, death-defying stunts and mysterious magical tricks.
Fun for Everyone at Barretstown Big Picnic
The Barretstown Big Picnic will be set in the beautiful grounds of Barretstown Castle. So visitors can experience the magic of Barretstown for themselves. Activities taking place on the day include archery, pony rides, balloon making, face painting, canoeing and bouncy castles. There will also be a petting farm, crazy golf, kids disco and much more. In addition there will be competitions and prizes galore for all the family..
Support Barretstown
Tickets for the circus cost €10 for adults and €5 for children and can be booked online. The day itself is free. Although donations are welcomed. Brady’s Family Ham and Homebird are kindly sponsoring the day. If you already know about the incredible work that Barretstown do for very sick children, I’m sure you’ll be happy to donate. Finally, this year, Barretstown need to raise €5 million to continue their amazing work. Children and their families don’t pay a cent to come to the residential camps at Barretstown.
A brilliant day out while supporting a fantastic charity – And hopefully the sun will shine… So we think this could be one of the highlights of the Summer!
