Stoneybatter Festival 2020
From Friday 19th June to Sunday 21st June the Stoneybatter Festival is going virtual — off street to online — with a light but lively programme of community and virtual activities!
The Virtual Stoneybatter Festival
From the heart of Dublin 7 to a laptop near you, the organisers of the Stoneybatter Festival have put together a great selection of virtual events for all ages. On Friday 19th enjoy some Batter-Chatter with Conor Pope, Pauline McGlynn and others through the the wonders of zoom. On Saturday St. Brendan’s GAA club will host some fun online coaching sessions. Maybe you could try your hand at some boxing with the Smithfield Boxing Club’s online class.
Would you prefer something a little more sedate? The Stoneybatter Online Short Film will show examples of the great work of some local filmmakers.
And for those that want some off-line fun, there will be lots going on the the neighbourhood. There will be bagpipes on the streets and piping at the Courts. Or stick on the kettle, have a social distancing cuppa & chat with your neighbours.
Throughout the weekend there will be a crafty competition for all ages with National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks. House window boxes & shop window displays will be dressed for the weekend. Or make your neighbourhood walk more exciting with the Stoneybatter family treasure trail
Whether you reside in Stoneybatter or the other side of the world, this special community based festival has something for everyone. Check out the full programme of events on StoneybatterFestival.ie
