Spraoi 2018 -Lots of Fun in Waterford

 
From 3rd to the 5th of August, Waterford City will come alive for Spraoi 2018. The International Street Arts Festival has a jam packed programme of events that will entertain and delight revellers of all ages. Here’s a sample of just some of the great events planned for Spraoi 2018.
 

The science of the circus, bubbles and having a good time

 
Children have their own mini-festival, within a festival. SprÓg  is all about having fun and there are lots of free events planned at the Garter Lane Theatre. Each day during the week before and over the weekend there are shows and workshops. Advance booking is required. See the programme here

SprOg: Bubbly Bubbles Show

 
Is there a child in the country who isn’t mesmerised by bubbles? Suitable for children 5 years and older the Bubbly Bubbles Show will be a fascinating and fun afternoon. Find out more here
 
For slightly older children, The Real Science Of The Circus will delve into the secrets of jugglers and circus performers. They’ll be having so much fun, they won’t even realise they are learning! Find out more here.

Throughout the month of July the Sanofi Spraoi Orchestra have been rehearsing in preparation for a series of performances. Prepare to be blown away by these talented young local musicians at various concerts throughout the festival. Find out more here

Any  brass, saxophone and percussion players have the opportunity to jam with the New York Brass Band on Sunday morning. The action will then spill out onto the streets and wake Waterford City up with a Brass Street Beat impromptu performance. Find out more here

The Spraoi Parade is a summer highlight in the South East. This year you might need to bring the insect repellant because they have taken inspiration from swarms, colonies, webs and hives. The streets will swarm with BUGS. Artists, musicians, dancers and performers will creep and crawl through Waterford City. It’s going to be unmissable. Find out more here.
