Operation Transformation Walks – National Walks Day
Since 2008 RTE’s Operation Transformation has been inspiring the nation to lose weight, get active and stay healthy. More than a TV show, it has been the motivation behind many of us upping our game each January.
There are Operation Transformation Walks organised all over the country for this Saturday, January 13th. We have lots listed on InspireMe.ie or check your county’s Sports Partnership Page to find one near you. In addition to the once off walks, several community groups are organising weekly walks to keep you on track for the series.

The Operation Transformation Series is now in its 11th year. It is widely regarded as the best health and fitness show in Ireland. While there are only 5 lucky Leaders selected each year, you can follow their programs and make this the year you transform your health. Join one of the various communities who get involved in the process. Apart from the health benefits it’s a great way to meet people. There is no pressure to be the fastest or fittest. Go at your own pace!
Finally, all of these events are correct at the time of publishing. However we recommend you check with the event organiser before you travel. We have lots of more on InspireMe.ie. Sign up here and save your favorites.
