Midterm Inspiration this February 2019
It might seem like we are only just recovering from Christmas but for many families, February midterm is upon us. It can be a tricky time of the year to find ways to entertain the little ones. The evenings are still short, and the camp options are limited. But all across the country there are activities galore. So if you are stuck for ideas, look no further. Dinosaur delights
In the always entertaining Collins Barracks there is a Jurassic Skies Art workshop. We all know children who can list off impressive names of dinosaurs. And now they can learn all about the Jurassic Archaeopteryx who roamed the earth 150 million years ago. And when the learning is over, you even get to design your own prehistoric figure. Advanced booking is required as this is sure to be a popular event.
Fashion fun
The Chester Beatty Library is one of the hidden delights in Dublin City. It is always worth keeping an eye on their programme of events as they cater for kids of all ages. And this midterm is no different with their Fashion is Art workshops on February 19th. During this Kimono-inspired workshop, Ally Nolan will bring teens through a course in fashion design. Younger teens are up in the morning while older teens start their creations after lunch. And if in years to come one of their creations ends up on a red carpet at the Oscars, your children will have you to thank. Find out more here.
