Pay it Forward is a wonderful concept. When someone does a good dead for you, instead of paying them back, why not pay it forward by doing a good deed for someone else. The Pay it Forward Group in Limerick certainly live up to their name. This is the fourth year they will be spreading good vibes at their unique Festival of Kindness.
 
The Festival of Kindness celebrates the inherent goodness in everyone. We know it exists because we have recently seen remarkable acts of community spirit during Storm Emma. Kindness to others is one of the best ways to look after our mental wellbeing. This is definitely a festival with the feel good factor!
 

Family Fun Day

 
The Festival gets off to a flying start with a Family Fun Day on March 10th.  This free event is packed with fun activities for all the family.  From face painting to kayaking on the Shannon, this is a perfect way to spend a few hours on a Saturday afternoon.
 

Community Unity Days

 
Community Unity Days are happening from March 11th -15th. They have been organised to encourage volunteers, local businesses and the good people of Limerick to carry out intentional acts of kindness. From children giving baked goods to the unsung heroes of the community to free pampering for those in need of a little treat, there will be plenty of kindness going around in Limerick.
 

 
People who receive these acts of kindness will also be encouraged to pay it forward. This should create a ripple effect throughout the county and far beyond…
 

St Patrick’s Day Parade

 

 
Finally Pay it Forward Limerick will march under the banner of kindness in Limerick’s St Patrick’s Day Parade.
 
If you aren’t lucky enough to be in Limerick for the festival, you can still do your own random act of kindness next week. And if you’re lucky enough to be on the receiving end of a good deed – you know what to do!
