Let’s get the party started..

Because the best weekends start on Thursdays, the opening night sees Dara Ó Briain, Angela Barnes, Jason Byrne, David O’Doherty setting the tone for the festival. With MC Karl Spain at the helm, you know the inaugural event is going to be unmissable. Find out more here.

For a feast for the eyes and ears, look no further than Ormonde Kings on Friday Night. Ed Byrne, David O’Doherty, Fred Cooke will be kept in line by MC Barry Murphy. (Good luck, Barry..) More details here.

Walk with me

Now it’s at this stage of the weekend we think you might need a bit of air. A bit of culture. A flavour of the historical city of Kilkenny. And while we admit Karl Spain might not necessarily be the most qualified to lead a walking tour, we can guarantee he is the most amusing. For more details of Karl’s walk on the wildside see here.

Cat Laughs
Tommy Tiernan, Lucy Porter, Jason Byrne

Tommy Tiernan, Lucy Porter, Jason Byrne and Gearóid Farrelly will be vying for laughs in Hotel Kilkenny on Saturday night. Four comic geniuses for the price of one. Find out more about the bargain of the century here.

Alison Spittle shares the stage with Roisin And Chiara in Cleere’s later on Saturday night. Fresh talent, seriously funny women, an all-star night on the cards. More details here.

Depan, witty, with a distinctive comedy style – there is only one Dylan Moran. If you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing him perform live, we strongly recommend getting tickets for his Sunday night performance in Hotel Kilkenny. Get booking here.

The Cat’s Swan Song

Goodnight Cats – The festival finishes in Langtons Ballroom on Monday at 9pm. All comedians left standing will take to the stage, and basically let loose. Expect to be a guinea pig for new material, to hear anecdotes from the weekend and to have the craic. Find out more here.
