10 Free Family Friendly Events for July 2018
Schools out for Summer! We have some fantastic free family friendly events on InspireMe.ie. Here’s a few of our favorites.
Irish America Day Festival
Wexford – 4th – 8th July
2018 will see a twist in the Irish America Celebrations in New Ross from 4th to 8th July. This year they are coinciding with the 73rd All Ireland Pipeband Championships on the Saturday. And on Sunday there will be a free family health and fitness day in New Ross Town Park. Find out more here
Laya City Spectacular
Dublin – 6th – 8th & Cork – 14th and 15th July
The Laya City Spectacular events in Dublin’s Merrion Square and Fitzgerald Park in Cork are among Ireland’s biggest & most-loved summer festivals. Enjoy Durrus Festival 2018
Cork – 6th – 8th July
A lovely family festival, Enjoy Durrus will be a great weekend in West Cork. There will be petting zoos, a street party and music galore to keep the troops entertained. Find out more here
Junction Festival Family Fun Day
Tipperary – 7th July
Roll(erskate) back the years at this 1980s-tastic Family Fun Day! With lots of retro-flavoured games and activities – from egg and spoon races to a Jane Fonda-style workout this is going to be seriously good fun. It’s part of the Junction Festival and just one of the many fantastic free events that will take place in Clonmel. Find out more here
Teddy Bears Picnic Blackrock
Dublin – 8th July
Teddy Bears Picnic from 1pm to 5pm will be a celebration of all things Teddy with lots of fun, games and surprises all over the park. Everybody, young and old is invited to bring their bears and blankets to the picnic in Blackrock Park. Find out more here
Parkfest – Sligo
8th July
PARKFEST is Cairde Sligo Arts Festival’s fun filled, massive family day out featuring music, theatre, circus; art, craft & science workshops & delicious food. Find out more here
Féile Inis Bó Finne
Donegal – 7th and 8th July
Who doesn’t love a ferry trip? If you plan on making a trip to Inishbofin in Donegal over the summer, this is when to do it. With curragh racing and music for the adults, and bouncy castles for the kids, it’s sure to be a great weekend in a spectacular setting. Find out more here
Rose Festival – Dublin
14th and 15th July
St Anne’s Park is one of Dublin’s gems. For the Rose Festival it will be full of fun and activities. There will be horse and carriage rides, a living history exhibition, the Big Bear Planetarium, live music, and lots more. Find out more here.
Kilmacthomas Street Fete
Waterford – 14th June
The Comeraghs Wild Festival is happening between the 12th and 15th in various locations throughout the Comeragh Mountains. One the highlights will be this free family friendly event. Browse through the food and craft stalls, see the display of vintage cars and tractors, petting zoo and lots more besides. Find out more here.
Bray Air Display
Wicklow – 28th and 29th July
A jaw-dropping spectacle that will impress all ages, the Bray Air Display should be high on the list of Things to Do this Summer. This great family weekend all kicks off at 12 noon on both days. As well as the incredible display in the skies over Bray there will be plenty of family fun. Find out more here
