February Midterm Break – What's On Around Ireland?

Dublin Chinese New Year Festival, Dublin
Get ready to ring in the Chinese New Year in the Asian Market, To celebrate Dumpling Day all ages are invited to learn how to wrap and make your own dumplings. Merrion Square, Dublin
The National Gallery of Ireland are running Midterm Art Camps for 4+years and Midterm Art Camps for 8+years. Whether it’s creating an abstract masterpiece or prized portrait this is an ideal activity for budding Picassos or Monets.
Castlebar, Mayo
The Country Life Museum has a fantastic workshop happening on Tuesday 13th February called “You Could Draw That Blindfolded”. This collaborative workshop is for parents and children with a shared interest in art. With a little help, maybe you could draw an object from their collections with your eyes closed. This is a free event but you must book in advance!
Gorey, Wexford
How about making the most of being able to stay up a bit later? The Gorey Night Run is taking place on Thursday the 15th from 7.30 – 9.00pm. This annual charity 5K raises much needed funds for North Wexford Hospice. You can walk, jog or run your way around the course. The atmosphere is always electric and family friendly. A night to remember…
Duffy’s Circus, Limerick
If you want action packed entertainment, Duffy’s Circus are setting up camp in Limerick from the 12th-18th of February. Expect daredevil stunts and stunning special effects from one of the worlds longest-established circuses.
Altamont Gardens,Carlow
Snowdrop week at Altamont gardens takes place from February 12th-18th.Wrap up warm and discover the largest collection of snowdrops in Ireland. Admission is free. There are guided tours for €5 each day. Find more Snowdrop walks here.
