Candlelit Tales presents
_ Main Venue _
Everyone knows that women in the ancient world had no rights, and stayed at home meekly to look after their dozens of children… right? Not in this mythology! Here are women who fought battles and took no prisoners, women who struggled under curses and captivity, women who rebelled, women who rule.
The 6th of January is a day where we celebrate women, Nollaig na mBan! So join us to do it properly! Where we get to retell the most epic and ancient tale with a very new flavour. Some of you may know bits and pieces, and hear familiar names, but we’ll take the less reflected perspective, and you about the women who was great enough to lead the Fianna. A tale of strength and tale of softness, and a tale where those aspects meet. A tale that tells of women and all that they were and all that they are.
