FESTIVAL WALKS
Base Point & Registration for all walks is in the club house at The Community Field, National School Rd, Ballyvaughan.
Tea, Cake & Chat back at base after every walk. Booking essential for Saturday night when you book your walk (Sat night details below).
SATURDAY GRADE A WALK:
Registration 8am at Base, bus departs at 8.30am, Walk starts at 9am, Duration 7hrs+
Strenuous walk for the very experienced walker taking in several peaks across the Burren. Starting from Abbey Hill, via Oughtmama, Turlough Hill, Moneen and Aillwee peaks.
SATURDAY GRADE B1 WALK:
Registration 10am at Base. Walk at 10.30am, Duration 5hrs+.
This walk is for the experienced walker, setting out from Ballyvaughan taking you on Sliabh na gCapall, Moneen & Dangan. This walk with gradual climbs to 900ft is on limestone terrain, track and trails.
SATURDAY GRADE B2 WALK:
Registration 9.15am at Base. Bus at 9.30am Walk at 10.30am, Duration 5hrs+..
This walk is for the experienced walker. Bus to the start of walk ascend from Deelin via Dangan to Aillwee Mountain to descend at Ballyalliban.
SATURDAY GRADE C WALK:
Registration 11am at Base. Walk at 11.15am. Duration 3hrs+. This is a moderate to easy walk..
The terrain is off-road and green road along by Loughrask, Dangan base and Wood Loop. Walk not suitable for pushchairs.
JOIN US SATURDAY NIGHT IN MONKS Bar & Restaurant:
Monks Restaurant FOR DINNER SERVED AT 7PM.
Followed by talk & slideshow by Burren Expert Dr. Brendan Dunford & Introduction to The Burrenway by Eoin Hogan Rural Recreation Officer.

SUNDAY A (6HRS) B (4HRS) & C (3HR) WALK:
Registration 9.45am at Base. Walks all start at 10am.
Join members of The Ballyvaughan/Fanore walking club on their weekly Sunday walk.
This walk shares the route with varying distance/duration. All starting at the community field, walking through the Wood Loop, ascending Cappanawalla and continuing to Burrenwee, Rathbourney & Gleninagh depending on the route you have chosen.
All meet back at the base at the end of the walk for our final cup of tea and some cake
