Get the weekend off to an active start.  The Good Run 2018 takes place in the beautiful grounds of  St. Anne’s Park, Raheny in Dublin. All proceeds raised from the event will go towards supporting the fight against Motor Neurone Disease. You can choose to run either the 5km or the shorter 2.5km option. Walk, run or crawl, you’ll enjoy your Easter Eggs guilt-free after this one.  Find out more here.
 

K-Fest Launch – Friday 30th March

 
This is the first year in almost 100 years that pubs around the country will open on Good Friday. And K-Fest, a Kerry based festival, are holding court in Whelan’s on Wexford St, to give you a snapshot of some of the acts that will be performing in Kerry in June. This five-slot event has some of the best in emerging Irish music covering folk, pop, urban, rock, and electronic. Find our more here.
 

Easter 1916 Rising Tour – Glasnevin Cemetery – Fri 30th March – Mon 02 April

 
Easter in Dublin will always be associated with the 1916 Rising. The Glasnevin Cemetery Museum will hold guided tours of the graves of those involved in, and affected by the 1916 Rising. Expert guides will tell the story of the dramatic events of a century ago that shaped Ireland as we know it today. A fascinating event for all ages, making our history come alive. NGI: Private Life Of An Easter Masterpiece – The Taking Of Christ – Sun 1st April

The National Gallery of Ireland are showing a special screening of the BBC2 documentary exploring The Taking of Christ by Caravaggio (part of the BBC series The Private Life of an Easter Masterpiece) This is a lovely way to learn more about one of the jewels of the nations art collection. Easter Weekend at Airfield Estate Sun 1st – Mon 2nd April

 
Airfield Estate in Dundrum is always worth a visit.  But this Easter Weekend, this working farm in the city should definitely be at the top of the list for families. Keelings are giving visitors the opportunity to plant their own strawberries in aid of ISPCC Childline. There will also be a magician and face painter on hand to make the day even more memorable.
