The Valley of Slievenamon will be a hive of activity from 1 -7 July for the Clonmel Junction Arts Festival. With a diverse programme of events planned, there is something for all ages and interests. Here are some of our festival highlights..
 

  • Move in the Park

Denis Burke Park

 
Start each day of the festival with some gentle movement in the Denis Burke Park. Yoga and Tai Chi Masters will be on hand each morning to make sure your day gets off to the best possible start. For more details see here.
 

  • Everybody Dance Now

 
After that gentle stretching you should now be ready to dance. Under the arches of the Main Guard every lunchtime of the festival, a different school or choreographer will be invited to give a short presentation and then lead the public in a workshop. For toe tapping fun, see here.

Orla Murphy’s Remember to Breathe

Remember to Breathe is Orla Murphy’s full-length theatrical debut. Shortlisted for the BBC International Playwriting Award and The Fishamble Best New Play Award in Tiger Dublin Fringe, this will be an unmissable celebration of the beauty of the Irish countryside. More details here

This extraordinary Irish singer has been captivating audiences and achieving exceptional acclaim for over 20 years. Performing on Thursday 4 July in the White Memorial Theatre, this will be an evening of sublime music. Find out more here.

Leave your inhibitions at the door and join the revelry when Don Juan travels across the sea and berths at Clonmel Junction’s new venue, The Cider Rooms Cabaret. Five performers will entice and delight as they invite the audience into their wild retelling of the story of the original master of seduction: Don Juan.. For more details see here.
 

Clonmel Junction Arts Festival – Fun for everyone

 
This is only a small flavour of the fantastic events planned for the Clonmel Junction Arts Festival. Laneways throughout the town will be transformed into public galleries for art. A Kid’s Corner in the Showgrounds Shopping Centre will provide lots of free entertainment for mini-festival goers.
