Cashel Arts Festival 2018
In the shadow of the Rock of Cashel, from the 20th to the 23rd of September, a programme of events is planned to delight and entertain all ages. The theme for the Cashel Arts Festival 2018 is ‘Reflections’.The festival promises to provide a weekend of culture and fun. Here’s a taster of what’s in store….
DOWN AND OUT IN PARIS AND LONDON
Thursday 20th
Phelim Drew brings Orwell’s classic to the stage of the Brú Ború theatre for the opening night. Full of wit and warmth, you will be transported to Paris in the 1920’s. Find out more here
CULTURE NIGHT IN CASHEL
Friday 21st
Culture Night is a nationwide celebration of the arts. And here in Cashel there is a huge choice of happenings for all ages and interests.

A TASTE OF CASHEL
Saturday 22nd

WORKSHOPS GALORE
Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd
Whether you want to try your hand at painting, stretch with some yoga or sew something beautiful, there are lots of fantastic workshops planned to get your creative juices flowing. Our pick? OLD HANNAH
Saturday 22nd
Hailing from the West of Ireland, Old Hannah have a unique and sophisticated sound. This concert will surely be a festival high point. Find out more here.
SUNDAY FUNDAY
Sunday 23rd
The streets of Cashel will be buzzing on Sunday afternoon. Babcock And Bobbins will entertain the crowds with circus tricks and slapstick antics. You can map where you live in relation to the River Suir and find out the quality of the water in your local stretch of river. Or perhaps experience basket weaving, stone masonry, pottery, butter making, spinning and a blacksmith at work at the Craft Demonstrations.
CONTEMPO QUARTET
Sunday 23rd
To round out the Cashel Arts Festival 2018 in style, the RTÉ ConTempo Quartet are performing not one, but two concerts. A family friendly concert will take place in the afternoon. St. John the Baptist Girls’ National School choir, young soloist Bronwyn Stevens and pianist Ciarán Healy will also perform during what promises to be a highly enjoyable concert for all the family.
