Bulmers Live at Leopardstown

Bulmers Live at Leopardstown

Decisions, decisions …

Sometimes it can be hard to decide how best to spend your summer evening. A race meet at one of Ireland’s top racecourses? Or an outdoor gig as the sun sets? Well the good people at Leopardstown Racecourse have made life easy for you this summer. As part of the Bulmer’s Series they have combined an afternoon of top racing with some of the best gigs of the summer. Bulmers Live at Leopardstown could be the perfect evening. Doors open at 4.30 with the first race setting off by 6pm. After three hours of racing you will be able to sing under the stars with a top music act. Here is a flavour of what’s in store.

First up on Thursday 13th July is the Hothouse Flowers – this band have been setting the stage alight for over 30 years. Combining rock n’roll, traditional music and soul in their own unique style, they are legends of the Irish music scene. Be sure to stick around and laugh awhile….

The Riptide Movement

Thursday 20th July brings the Riptide Movement to the racetrack. See these four Dublin friends rock their home town. Their live shows are legendary – expect them to be crowned Lords of this Turf!

The Stunning

Continuing the theme of top Irish bands, Thursday 27th welcomes The Stunning back to Leopardstown. These men from the West have been lighting up the music world since 1987, and broke some hearts when they split up in the nineties. Lucky for us they have been going strong since they reformed in 2003 – expect a storm to be brewin in the shadow of the Dublin Mountains when they hit the stage.

Sister Sledge

Thursday 10th August will see the sisters doing it for themselves as Sister Sledge come all the way from Philadelphia to delight Irish racegoers. Hits such as We are Family, Lost in Music and many more make for an incredible catalogue of favourites. If you are not hoarse from willing your horse over the line early in the evening, you certainly will be when you sing your heart out.

The Happy Mondays

The closing act for this amazing festival will truly be a grand finale when the Happy Mondays amaze and inspire with their unique sound. There will be no need for Pills, Thrills or Bellyaches – just lots of fun as Dublin parties like it’s the 1990’s all over again.

Bulmers Live at Leopardstown

As if the line-up above wasn’t enough to tempt you, this is also the best value ticket in town this summer. At only €18 for entry to the races followed by the concert. It’s possibly more expensive to stay at home. The organisers have thought of everything – there are shuttle buses running from the Luas stop in Sandyford. And on selected days from the DART in Blackrock. The venue is wheelchair accessible. Also there are bars and restaurants on site. This is the easiest decision you will make all summer – check out www.leoparstown.com for further details.
