Townlands Carnival 2018 – Cork – 20th -22nd July
More than a festival, Townlands Carnival combines a stellar line-up of world class musicians with Art, Circus and Carnival acts for an unforgettable weekend. Whether you’re into reggae, hip hop, folk, rock or dance there is something for everyone. KnockanStockan 2018 – Wicklow – 27th -29th July
After taking a year off, KnockanStockan is back on the beautiful shores of the Blessington Lakes. Elaine Mai, Kojaque, Super Silly, Akora, Farah Elle and Sim Simma Soundsystem are among the artists set to entertain over the weekend. In addition there will be poetry, music, storytelling, spoken word and hip-hop, and lots more besides. Find out more here
F.L.A.M.E. – Meath – 28th July
This year FLAME has moved to a new and bigger home. Chasing Abbey will share the stage with reggae artist Cian Finn and legendary Dublin DJ Al Gibbs to name a few. This festival will be easy on the pocket too, with early-bird tickets only €38.50. Find out more here.
Arcadian Field 2018 – Louth 4th-6th August.
How about amazing music in a stunning setting? Arcadian Field is an intimate festival experience taking place at the foot of the Cooley Mountains over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. The third edition of this festival mixes local talent such as Third Smoke, TPM, Jinx Lennon and Nix Moon, along with international acts like Kitchen Machine and The Turbans. All Together Now – Waterford – 4th -6th August
It’s always great to say you were there for the beginning of something great. All Together Now is the first festival to take place in the stunning grounds of Curraghmore House. The festival organisers seem to have put together a dream weekend. There will be 10 stages to choose from, with music, spoken word, comedy, theatre, debate, art and workshops all weekend. Feast on delicious food, the catering will undoubtedly be one of the stars of the show. There is a comprehensive plan for those with specific accessibility requirements, so everyone can enjoy the weekend in comfort. Féile Classical – Tipperary – 21st September
Get the gang back together for another Trip to Tipp. Féile Classical will feature legendary bands The Stunning, Hothouse Flowers, An Emotional Fish, Something Happens, The 4 of Us, The Frank & Walters and many more. In Tom Dunnes capable hands, the 2018 reboot of the early nineties definitive festival is going to be awesome.
