Longford Live & Local is a program organised by Longford County Council Arts Office, providing free music throughout the summer. The program is funded through the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Sport and Media.
Start the weekend by joining Paper Planes and Blues Confidential at their free gig this Friday in Connolly Barracks.
One Voice Festival: Tales from the Quay
13 – 14 August, Wexford
Wexford Arts Centre in association with Paul Walsh productions presents this unique festival of tales from the quay. A selection of specially created monologues written and delivered by some of Wexford’s best-known artists.
A mix of comedy, dark fairy-tale, exploration of relationships and a look at life in a small town by the sea.
Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival
13 – 20 August, Birr
Featuring professional national and international artists bringing visual arts, theatre, music, street theatre, pop up performers, workshops, exhibitions and lots more, together with a variety of community events there’s definitely something for you at Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival!
This year they are bringing the inside-outside with Open-air Galleries, Birr Window Wanderland, Kids Pavement Art, Festival In A Van, Pop Up Street Performers, Festival Domes, Kids Treasure Hunt, Outdoor Open Exhibition, Empty Columns Exhibition, Collage Workshops, Yoga At The Domes, Alchemy Street Theatre, Car Treasure Hunt, a Drive-by “Peoples Parade” and much more!
HER Outdoors Week

HER Outdoors Week is an opportunity to re-ignite and re-introduce females to the power of outdoor sports. This week will be a first of it’s kind in Ireland and is an opportunity for ALL females to escape to the outdoors and try something new. For such a tiny island, there are so many incredible outdoor activities on offer so let’s celebrate the outdoors. It’s time to FIND YOUR OUTDOORS!!
