Christmas Day Swim 2017

the tradition of the Christmas Day swim. But it has definitely become one of the most bracing ways to work up an appetite for Christmas Dinner. Many of these events are raising money for worthy causes. So grab the togs, rope in your mates and check out some of the Christmas Day swims on InspireMe.ie. Remember Get in, get out and warm up. No alcohol before swimming. Kinsale for the Kinsale Lions Club Donegal Creevy Pier in aid of the North West Hospice and Motor Neurone Disease Bundoran Sligo Lough Arrow in aid of the Northwest Hospice Leitrim Carrick-on-Shannon raising funds for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, the National Council for the Blind and the Leitrim Talking Newspaper Waterford Newtown and Guillaume Swimming Club, Tramore in aid of Manor St John Youth Services Dunmore East for Lady Lane House Retirement Services ( Meals on Wheels ) But maybe you’re the one cooking Christmas Dinner. Fear not! There are some Christmas Dips planned on either side of the 25th. You’re going to have to think of a new excuse….. Dublin The Marathon Man to Iron Man Santa Swim is taking place at Dublin’s 40 foot on Christmas Eve. Get it over with early. Wexford Kilmore Quay for the Kilmore Quay RNLI is on Thursday the 28th Finally, all of these events are correct at the time of publishing. However we recommend you check with the event organiser before you travel.
